Phyllis York Brookshire is President of Allen Tate Realtors®, overseeing all residential operations for the company which consists of more than 1,500 Realtors and 300 staff across their four-region footprint in the Carolinas.
Phyllis joined Allen Tate Company as regional vice president in January 2007 as the company expanded into the Triangle and was promoted to her current position in January 2010. She shares the passion and vision of Allen Tate Realtors to raise the bar in residential real estate services for consumers.
What would you like to say about your career in Real Estate?
I grew up in a real estate family and have spent most of my career in real estate. I am proud to be a part of an industry that helps people with one of the most important possessions in their life – their home. A home is an investment, but it is so much more than that. Being a trusted advisor is a privilege and a responsibility I take seriously.
What would you say about the Real Estate industry?
Every day is different! There are always new challenges to face, new market conditions to understand and new opportunities to evaluate.
Anything else you want to talk about that has brought you success or to the place you are today.
I have been blessed to work with some amazing people who have mentored and guided me throughout my career. I think that being willing to work hard and staying open to new ideas has served me well. And I stay committed to giving my best and to becoming a better leader every day. That will never change.
