In 2014 Mary Lee moved from Minnesota to California with her family after a long career in real estate that began in 1993. In 2016 she was promoted to President and CEO of the highly respected Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties, a Berkshire Elite company ranked #2 Nationwide and abroad in 2019 across the extensive Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices brand’s network of over 280 companies. What would you like to say about your career in Real Estate?
My entire career in real estate has taught me to roll with the punches and celebrate the wins like it was my last day on earth! It has been nothing short of wonderful to have gotten into this industry nearly 30 years ago. I am grateful for everything about it!
What would you say about the Real Estate industry?
The industry is the lifeblood of the American dream. Our industry brings us into people’s homes; the very place most intimate to them. Real estate has changed so much with technology, new emergent companies, different models etc. What has NOT changed, and for the most relevant reason, is the personal relationship that is gained and needed between the real estate agent and the client. That is what makes our industry so consistently great and steady is the constant of the personal touch.
Anything else you want to talk about that has brought you success or to the place you are today?
Only additional message is for all of the women out there wondering if they could move up or do more. You absolutely can! Just know that the questioning of ourselves as women never stops, so use that as fuel for driving your knowledge and success. We need you!
